Candle filter is an industrial filter element named after its appearance resembling a candle. It consists of porous support tubes and filter cloth/mesh layers, forming continuous gaps with narrow outer and wide inner surfaces. The filtration accuracy is usually between 20-80 μ m.
Core structure and working principle
1. Structure:
The filter element is vertically suspended inside the filter tank and supported by a metal or plastic frame.
Filter materials include stainless steel, fiberglass, or woven mesh, which can be adapted to different industrial scenarios.
2. Workflow:
The liquid flows in from the outside of the filter element, impurities are trapped on the surface of the filter cloth, and the cleaning liquid is discharged from the central pipe.
After the formation of the filter cake, it is automatically regenerated by reverse blowing (compressed air or steam) to remove slag.
