Therefore, the tank avoids dangerous bulging or collapsing. Additionally, the breather helps with heat dissipation by letting hot gases escape, so oil quality lasts longer. Furthermore, when paired with an air filter, it blocks dust and vapor from entering. Consequently, oil stays clean, and system parts last longer.

The breather filter of the hydraulic oil tank is the core protective component of the hydraulic system oil tank. Through bidirectional airflow control and multi-stage filtration, it maintains the balance of air pressure inside and outside the oil tank, while blocking the invasion of pollutants into the oil, ensuring the stable operation of the hydraulic system.
Exhalation stage
- When the hydraulic system is working, the oil temperature rises, the oil level rises, the pressure inside the oil tank is higher than the external atmospheric pressure, and the internal air is discharged outward.
- The exhaled airflow passes through the filter layer, intercepting and retaining oil mist particles to prevent oil leakage.
- When the internal and external pressure difference reaches 0.5~1kPa, the spring valve plate automatically opens, quickly releasing excess pressure.
Inhalation stage
- When the oil temperature decreases and the oil level drops, negative pressure is formed inside the oil tank, and external air is sucked into the tank.
- The external air first passes through an air filtration unit to intercept solid impurities such as dust and sand particles, and then condenses and adsorbs water vapor through a moisture absorbing layer.
- After clean air enters the oil tank, the pressure inside and outside the tank is restored to balance, avoiding the occurrence of cavitation in the hydraulic pump due to excessive negative pressure on the suction side.
