Hydraulic Filter Assembly

Hydraulic filter assembly uses a priority valve mounted in the manifold to allow continuous filtration of the hydraulic fluid to a predetermined flow value and to transfer occasionally high flow to the secondary circuit. This arrangement provides low pressure drop and structural integrity at high flow rates (1000000 pulse cycles from 0 to 6000 psi), while reducing weight by 50% from traditional design methods.
There are various impurities in the hydraulic system, mainly from
1. Mechanical impurities remained in the hydraulic system after cleaning, such as rust, casting sand, welding slag, scrap iron, paint, paint skin and cotton yarn scraps, etc,
2. External impurities entering the hydraulic system, such as dust entering through the oil filler and dust ring;
3. Impurities generated during operation, such as fragments formed by hydraulic pressure of seals,
4. A metal powder produced by relative wear,
5. Colloid, asphaltene, carbon residue, etc. produced by oxidation and metamorphism of oil.
After the above impurities are mixed into the hydraulic oil, with the circulation of the hydraulic oil, they will play a destructive role everywhere, seriously affecting the normal operation of the hydraulic system, such as making the small gap (in μm) between the relative moving parts in the hydraulic components, as well as the throttle hole and the gap stuck or blocked; destroying the oil film between the relative moving parts, scratching the gap surface, increasing the internal leakage, reducing the low efficiency It can increase the heating rate, intensify the chemical action of the oil and make the oil deteriorate. According to the production statistics, more than 75% of the faults in the hydraulic system are caused by impurities in the hydraulic oil. Therefore, it is very important to maintain the cleanliness of the oil and prevent the pollution of the oil.

Hydraulic filter assembly is mainly composed of hydraulic filter, hydraulic filter housing and hydraulic filter base . The oil flow area is composed of numerous tiny gaps or holes on the filter element. Therefore, when the size of impurities mixed in the oil is larger than these tiny gaps or holes, they are blocked and filtered out of the oil. Because different hydraulic systems have different requirements, it is impossible and sometimes unnecessary to completely filter the impurities in the oil.

FAQ

Protect the internal components of the hydraulic press, prevent the internal system from being affected by some impurities and particles, effectively control the pollution degree of the working medium, and make the components work normally.

During cleaning, the hydraulic filter element must not be placed in the oil for cleaning, otherwise the paper filter element will fail, causing serious runaway accident. During cleaning, only vibration method, soft brush removal method (along with its wrinkle brush) or compressed air back blowing method can be used to remove the dust and dirt attached to the surface of the paper filter element. For the part of the coarse filter, the dust at the dust collection part, blade, cyclone tube, etc. shall be removed in time.

The loss process of hydraulic filter element is mainly the blockage of hydraulic filter element by pollutants. A loading process of pollutants in a hydraulic filter element is the process of plugging the through-hole of the filter element.
When the hydraulic filter element is blocked by contaminated particles, the holes that can pass through the liquid flow are reduced. To ensure the flow through the filter material, the pressure difference will increase.
In the initial stage, because there are many holes in the hydraulic filter, the pressure difference through the hydraulic filter increases slowly, and the blocked holes have little effect on the whole pressure loss.
However, when the plugging hole reaches a value, the plugging is very fast, at this point, the differential pressure through the hydraulic filter element rises very fast. The number, size, shape and distribution of filter material holes in a hydraulic filter element indicate why one element has a longer life than the other.
For a given thickness and filtering accuracy of the filter material, the filter paper has fewer holes than the glass fiber filter material, so the filter element of the filter paper material is faster than the filter element of the glass fiber filter material. The filter element of multi-layer glass fiber filter material can contain more pollutants. When the liquid flows through the filter element, each filter layer filters out particles of different sizes, and the small holes in the filter material of the back layer will not be blocked by large particles. The small holes in the filter material of the back layer hydraulic filter element still filter a large number of small particles in the fluid
