Diesel fuel filter kit
Diesel fuel filter kit, is the assembly kit of the diesel fuel filter. No matter how carefully gasoline or diesel is handled, contamination in the form of dirt, sludge or water will always find its way into your marine vessel or engine’s fuel tank. Diesel fuel filter kit is the essential parts for your diesel engine.
Diesel fuel filter kit, are an effective and preventative maintenance for hard-working vehicles especially with common rail systems, which are incredibly efficient but intolerant to water and contaminants. When the filter kit doesn’t install side by side with fuel water separator, They are used as a first line of defence filtering water and particulates from diesel before it gets to the engine.
The more function is:
l Provide maximum protection of modern marine diesel and gasoline engines by effectively removing contaminants from fuel, such as water, silica, sand, dirt, and rust.
l A range of filter lengths with various efficiency ratings to protect your fuel system, high-efficiency particulate removal for fuel and water separation.
l Offers exceptional removal of water that enters the system through condensation in the fuel tank. Any water present in the fuel stream can cause clogged filters and result in the formation of corrosive acids. Prevent susceptible components then rust and corrode, leading to erosion and wear of critical fuel system components.
l Removes hard particles present in air that are introduced during fueling, such as sand and silica. Helps ensure ideal fuel efficiency and maximum horsepower
l Prevents costly injector damage and increases operational life of downstream filters.
l Saves time and money by eliminating unplanned maintenance and unscheduled downtime from system component failure.
Diesel fuel filter kit Types
Air cleaner assembly, is designed to prevent airborne impurities such as dust, dirt, pollens, and small bugs. They can badly affect your vehicle’s performance, and that means your every drive will be unpleasant. But apart from the practical benefits, air cleaners also add beauty to your under hood. Chrome and polished finishes are among the most common types of air cleaner assemblies because of their sheer elegance. Electrical/Hand pump(come with hand-operated fuel priming pumps, which allow for easy filter replacement and air purge) + Aluminum head with or without pump + Spin-on filter +with or without filter bowl. The mounting head and filter body are protected with a durable electrostatically-applied powder coating for superior corrosion resistance. The unique spin-on filter design is easy to service and features a reusable clear engineered plastic collection bowl with a self-venting drain or metal plug. Spin-on fuel assemblies features two head options. The heads have two inlet ports and two outlet ports. Two ports are shipped plugged. This allows for flexible mounting configurations.
Fuel Filter Base + Fuel Filter Housing + inside cartridge filter + Filter bowl. The length of filter and synthetic media will determine the filtering efficient. The bowl can add drain valve with digital sensor. Add-on water collection bowl available for easy routine inspection item: Inspect for damage, deformation, and discoloration often, and replace as necessary. The clear water collection bowl (80 mL / 2.7 oz capacity) is a separate component that can be added on for easy.
Working Principle
There are Cellulose and Synthetic medial for the diesel fuel filter kit. The synthetic media for the best capture and retention of injector damaging contaminants to reliably remove dirt and water from diesel and gasoline. The high fiber medium is folded and corrugated, which has the advantages of high water repellency and long service life.
The fuel entering the filter head flows down through the vertical media fold, so that large water drops and contaminated particles directly fall into the collection bowl. Smaller water droplets converge on the specially treated media surface until they are large enough to be dropped into the collection bowl.
Small contaminated particles are blocked on the surface of the medium, while smaller particles are kept deep in the medium.
Finally, dry, clean engine fuel is delivered to your engine.

Secondary: 450 lph / 120 gph
l Operating pressure:Primary: 210 kPa / 0-30 psi
Secondary: 690 kPa / 0-100 psi
l Temperature Range: -40° to 250ºF (-40º to 121ºC)
l Drain valves minimize components – provides flexible options that make routine maintenance clean, easy, and efficient.
l Easy to service, no special tools needed – removing and replacing spin-on filters is hassle free.
l Wide range of efficiency ratings – you can rely on our advanced filtration technology to provide the performance needed
l Corrosion-resistant coatings and construction. Bowls will not deteriorate from water collection, alcohol blended fuels, exposure to harsh additives, salt spray or UV light.
l Gasket and o-ring materials designed for diesel and gasoline use.
l Wide applicability and flexibility for on- and off-road, 4WD and heavy-duty applications
l Dirt and water are the enemies of fuel systems and can dramatically reduce the service life of fuel system components. You can insall with three stage fuel filter which can provide excellent water removal over the life of the filter. They are primary fuel filter, secondary fuel filter, precision fuel filter. Use synthetic media while combining/bonding together different micron rating filters can have this effect. For example, if the original equipment filter is of 10 microns, then placing a 25-micron media filter upstream can as much as triple the service life
l Side mount, multi-port heads – basic or with priming pump
M14 x 1.5 straight thread ports (4x)
M16 x 1.5 straight thread ports (4x)
M18 x 1.5 straight thread ports (4x), priming pump head only
FAQ
Due to the quality and storage problems, fuel oil itself contains water accumulation.
When refueling, the air entering the tank condenses into water.
When washing car and raining, it leaks into the oil tank through the uncovered oil tank cover.
Because the specific gravity of water is greater than that of oil, water will separate and deposit slowly and stay in the bend of oil way or filter, which will not only corrode the oil way and cause rust, but also affect the normal oil supply of fuel system. Under normal temperature, the fuel can dissolve some water, but when the temperature decreases, the solubility of water will also decrease correspondingly, so the problem caused by the water content of the fuel tank in winter will be more obvious. When the temperature is lower than the freezing point of the water, the water will condense and freeze, causing the oil circuit to be blocked, making the engine unable to work.
When it’s time for service, only the fuel filter element is replaced—the bowl and drain plug are reused. Water-in-fuel sensor upgrades are available for diesel applications to alert operators to drain accumulated water from the bowl. The fuel filter assembly includes fuel filter, oil pump, oil float, filter bowl, filter base, sensor and so on. So the fuel filter is part of the fuel filter assembly.
Your filter will ALWAYS come after the fuel pump.Think about it, otherwise it wouldn’t filter correctly and it would put a fuel strain on your pump.
1.Gasoline filters used in an enclosed location should use a metal bowl. Plastic bowls are only available for gasoline outboard applications.
2.Heaters and water probes must NOT be used in gasoline
3.Gasoline filters available first fit with 10 micron media element only.
4.Choose your engine fuel to be filtered; gasoline or diesel fuel.
5.Select total flow rate through the fuel system (gpm or lpm).
6.If available, choose or reject hand primer feature.
7.If available, select media micron rating.
