Working Principle

There are two ways of working principle for diesel filter:

Intercepting filtration, When the filtration efficiency requirements are not high, for example, for the filtration of particles over 30 microns, the diameter of the basic particles is larger than the pore diameter of the filter material, which belongs to the typical intercepting filtration. Because the pore size of the filter material and the diameter of the impurity particles are not round, they are both equivalent pore size and equivalent particle size.

Adsorption filtration, for the particles under 5 microns, the diameter is smaller than the pore diameter of the filter material, which belongs to the adsorption filtration. Adsorption filtration is mainly used in high performance diesel filter and diesel engine with electronic control common rail system.

The impurity particles in the fluid make irregular Brownian motion all the time. When they move to the hole wall of the porous body, they are stuck in a small area on the hole wall. The impurity particles removed by the porous body may collide with each other due to Brownian motion and liquid vibration. Under the action of the surface binding force, the apparent diameter of the particles gradually increases. As we all know, the surface energy of particles increases with the decrease of particle size (inverse relationship), and is proportional to the square root of the contact area between particles, so small particles are easy to gather and not easy to disperse.

2. Gasoline engine generates power through ignition device, while diesel engine generates power through cylinder compression

This is mainly because the high-precision parts of the fuel supply system of the diesel engine have higher quality requirements than that of the diesel engine, the compression ratio of the diesel engine is higher than that of the gasoline engine, the working environment is also worse than that of the gasoline engine, the load borne by the crankshaft and connecting rod is also much greater than that of the gasoline engine, and most of the operating conditions of the diesel engine are also more severe, so the oil filter element of the diesel engine will be more than that of the gasoline engine.

I、 Towering car phenomenon

Clogged gasoline filter is also a kind of clogged oil way. II、 Engine shudder at idle speed

If the fuel filter is blocked, the engine oil circuit is not smooth, and the atomization of the fuel injection nozzle is poor, the engine will vibrate obviously at idle speed. But idling jitter is not necessarily a problem of the gasoline filter. If the throttle is blocked, idling will also jitter, so it also needs comprehensive judgment.

III、 Weak acceleration and load carrying

This is because even if the gasoline filter element is slightly blocked, the engine power will be reduced and the acceleration will be weak, which is especially obvious in the case of uphill or load.

IV、 It’s difficult to start, the cold car can’t start directly

When the gasoline filter is blocked seriously, the car will be difficult to start or even unable to start, for example, sometimes it needs to be started for 2-5 times.
