Cabin Filter

Cabin air filter is a small pleated filter made of multifiber paper cotton or other engineering materials. When you turn on the heating or air conditioning, the outside air will enter the car or heavy equipment through the ventilation and air conditioning system.

Cabin air filter is to capture pollen, mold, mold, fungus, bacteria, bacteria, allergen pores, dust and harmful gases, pollen, soot, fine dust, allergen and gas pollutants and other debris that enter your vehicle or heavy equipment, so as to trap pollutants in the filter and prevent them from entering the vehicle. The cabin filter replcaements are located behind the glove box or under the windshield base, or under the instrument panel and may not be easily accessible, they are invisible. The more functions are:

Filter the clean air flow, reduce the load of the blower, protect the HVAC system from pollution, ensure the normal operation of the heater, defroster and air conditioner, avoid irreparable damage, and provide good performance.

Keep you comfortable. By cleaning the air, you can avoid seasonal allergies, ensure that your vehicle always circulates clean and fresh air, protect passengers from pollen, bacteria, dust and smoke in the air, and help you breathe easily and have good health!

Reduce the accumulation of dust and dirt in the instrument panel and the vehicle, and avoid dangerous fog from the windows and Windshield. Prevent mold or bacteria in dark and humid environment

Prevent harmful particles from entering the engine, increase engine wear and avoid shutdown.

l Reduce airflow and noise through the climate control system.

Cabin Filter Types

Cabin air filters are becoming more common in automotive and heavy-duty on and off-highway applications. For easier, cabin filter manufacturers also classified by cabin air filter price. The mostly types are:

Cabin Air Filter Replacement for Heavy Equipment

which is designed to remove harmful pollutants and contaminants from the air before they enter into the truck cabin area. Changing the cabin air filter during regular maintenance will help to ensure that the air is clean and easy to breathe. Operation of heavy equipment is a high dust activity, which will cause various high-risk diseases in the absence of control.

Pollen air filter replacement can trap particles as small as 0.3 microns, which include things like pollen, bacteria, mold spores, even exhaust soot and smoke. Most pollen filters will stop 100% of all particles that are 3 microns or larger in size, and 95%-99% of particles 1 to 3 microns in size.

Carbon cabin air filter has a layer of activated charcoal or baking soda to absorb odors and air pollutants. Some of these filters may even be lightly scented to enhance the driving experience. The recommended replacement interval is once a year.

Filter precision is an important performance index of filter, which is usually measured by the nominal size of the impurity particles, that can be filtered out.

FAQ

Yes, it can. The function of the cabin air filter element is to prevent the dust outside the vehicle from entering the vehicle. After a long time of using, cabin filter will appear dirt, peculiar smell or even blockage. When the filter element is blocked with dust and foreign matters, the air volume of the air conditioner will be seriously affected, so that the air system will be blocked, and the air will not be able to circulate and exchange heat normally. When the air volume gear is opened very high, the noise is very large, but the actual air volume is very small, so the air conditioner will be reduced a lot, which will affect the air cabin’s performance. The filter should be cleaned or replaced regularly during the use of air conditioner, which is not only beneficial to the refrigeration performance of air conditioner, but also healthier!

Filter media is the actual material used to capture the pollution in a filter element. Whatever media is used, it usually starts out in sheet form and is then folded or pleated to expose more surface area to oil flow. This is done to increase pollution carrying capacity and to reduce pressure differential across the filter.

Hydraulic oil filters come in a variety of materials: wire mesh, stainless steel, microglass(fibreglass composites ), paper, cellulose and other synthetic materials. They may have multiple layers and different backings to meet predetermined performance criteria. Depending on their materials and construction, they may be able to capture surface and/or depth contamination.

The replacement interval time of the cabin filter is generally 8000-10000km for driving time, or it can be determined according to the external environment of driving. If the environment is dry and humid, the climate is dry all the year round, and the sand is strong, it should be replaced in advance. The activated carbon cabin filter is generally replaced once a year.

  • Using cabinfilters, the ability to absorb odors decreases rapidly after one year of using. For pollen filters, the filter media will eventually become clogged, resulting in restricted air flow and additional pressure on the air conditioning blower motor. This can lead to costly system failure and extremely uncomfortable driving conditions.
  • Extreme high temperature in summer will cause serious injury to drivers. Even if the windows are not opened, the driver is still vulnerable to allergens, pollutants and other seasonal disturbances, which enter the vehicle’s passenger compartment through the air conditioning and ventilation system.
  • When these systems inhale the external air and close the windows, pollutants such as mold spores, bacteria, pollen, diesel soot, dirt, dust, exhaust gas and smoke begin to accumulate in the cabin, which may increase to 5 to 8 times higher than the normal concentration. The dirty cabin air filter may become a breeding ground for mold or bacteria in the dark and humid environment.
  • When pollutants are deposited on all surfaces, poorly ventilated passenger compartments can also be covered with a fine layer of dust. This makes the contaminant stay in the cabin longer.
  • Poor air flow will reduce the overall cooling capacity of the air conditioning system.
