Dust collection Filters, also called Gas turbine filter cartridge, is designed to remove dust particles from air in high dusting area like foundries, power plant, mining etc in the industrial. It is a kind of industrial air filter for dust. It has the advantages of high efficiency, simple installation, convenient using and maintenance. It is a special dust filter element for the dust collector. Working Principle

In the process of using the dust collector cartridge filter, the dust containing gas enters the ash hopper from the air inlet and begins to gather. Due to the sudden expansion of the air flow section and the action of the air flow distribution plate, some coarse particles in the air flow settle in the ash hopper under the action of dynamic and inertial forces; after the dust particles with fine particle size and small density enter the dust filtering chamber, the dust is deposited on the surface of the filter media through the combined effect of brown diffusion and screen filtration. When it becomes a dust mass, it will fall down directly, which requires collecting dust in advance. The purified gas enters the purification chamber at the upper part of the cartridge filter and is collected to the exhaust pipe and discharged by the fan. The dust removal is completed by the pulse solenoid valve and the controller. The reasonable dust removal ensures the service life of the dust collection filters. When the dust in the precipitator reaches a certain value, the dust control instrument will give an indication, at this time, the dust must be removed in time.
When the use time of the filter element reaches 48 hours, it needs to be backfilled. If the filter element has internal and external purging, if there are rotating wings, backfilling is required. Do not knock the filter element with hard objects and press it on the ground to avoid damaging the filter element and shortening the service life of the filter element. When the powder on the surface of the filter element has a knot plate, it means that the water content of the air source is too high. Check the water content of air source in time and take effective measures.
When the powder on the surface of the filter element hardens or changes the powder spraying color, immerse the filter element in clean water (or neutral detergent) for 15 minutes, and then clean it. Wash several times until it is clean (until there is no powder on the filter element surface). After cleaning the filter element, wait for the natural air to dry, or put it into the drying oven for drying, but the temperature shall not exceed 80°C.

Media

Dust collection Filters are available in single use or continuous duty designs. In single-use cartridge collectors, the dirty cartridges are changed and collected dirt is removed while the collector is off. In the continuous duty design, the cartridges are cleaned by the conventional pulse-jet cleaning system.
We manufactures a wide range of continuous pleated replacement dust collector cartridges to fit all popular makes and models of equipment. It also called Non-woven media totally.

Pleated cellulose, This is the cheapest media. Also the filtering efficient is usual.

Polyester fibers, also called Cellulose-Polyester blend media(80 / 20 mixture). Raw material is cellulose, synthetic, fiber glass. The most commonly used medium with lower requirements, which provides excellent filtration efficiency and dust release at an economical price, the most common dry and coarse dust medium. However, the collection efficiency is not very high, and the overall life of these filters is less than other options.

Nano-fibers, The media is water repellent,flame retardant, which yields superior performance in humid environments and outdoor installations. The fibers will be predicted tensile strength, stiffness, permeability, and a variety of other filtration and efficiency levels before using.

Spun Bonded Polyester Media, has a high bursting strength and increased dimensional stability, which means that spun bonded filters perform well in applications of humid air, oil contamination, heat, chemicals or abrasive dust. In addition, the spacious space between each fabric fold allows for improved dust release, which is essential for applications involving large or irregularly shaped dust or hygroscopic or cohesive dust. For applications requiring high collection efficiency, the spun bond filter can also be used with the e PTFE membrane to obtain the Merv 16 grade, and provide better dust removal effect, longer filter life and submicron filtration efficiency.

Pleatable PPS Media, For special applications with high temperature, irritant chemicals or abrasive dust, the filter cartridge made of aramid or PPS can be used. These cartridges use special synthetic fiber media to achieve higher temperatures up to 375f. These cartridges typically have all stainless steel inner cores and end caps, as well as high temperature gaskets and adhesives for their construction. For these reasons, they cost 2-3 times more than traditional nanofibers or spunbond cartridges.

How media is developed is far more complicated than most realize, so consider the following things about media and media development to ensure you optimize your collector’s performance.

Yes,of course. If you do not use a filter the dust and dirt will build up on the fan blades of the blower.  After a while the blower motor will burn up from having to turn all that extra weight that is built up on the fan blades.  You can get by without a filter for a short time without hurting anything, but for long time is a big loss for you.

If you are wanting to reuse the filter or cartridge, the better option is cleaning. However, there are some of the factors to consider when choosing if to replace or clean these elements is best for you and include:

  • Type of filter media
  • Kind of material filtered
  • Temperature and resistance properties
  • Top and bottom construction
  • Number of hours used

1.The dust removal filter cartridge is folded with hard filter material, and the surface is covered with a layer of film, which is easy to be damaged by the extrusion of external pressure; when replacing the filter cartridge, please handle it gently, do not knock the filter cartridge, and prevent it from falling to the ground, causing damage and air leakage.

2.No auxiliary tools are needed for the replacement of filter cartridge. First, open the clamping device of the access door of the welding fume purifier. After the replacement of filter cartridge, reclamp it.

3.When replacing the dirty filter cartridge, the action range shall be light to prevent the dust from scattering; before putting the new filter cartridge, the dust scattered in the filter chamber shall be cleaned.

4.Do not dismantle or discard the replaced dirty filter cartridge at will. Prepare the garbage bag in advance, and put the replaced dirty filter cartridge into the garbage bag for disposal, so as to reduce the pollution to the surrounding environment.

It depends on your working condition. The filter cartridge should be replaced every 6-8 months. Record the replacement time when replacing the filter cartridge, so as to effectively control the maintenance of the next replacement of the filter cartridge
