Hydraulic Transmission Filter

Hydraulic Transmission Filter

For off-highway equipments, keep the sensitive hydraulic and transmission system properly lubricated, cleanliness is the key. Hydraulic transmission filter is important to install hydraulic & transmission oil filters. Because there are differences between the Hydraulic and Transmission systems, it is absolutely critical that you use the right filter for each system. The more functions are:

Maximize hydraulic and transmission oil cleanliness, isolate harmful pollutants and abrasives. Help to meet expected oil change intervals and maximize equipment uptime.

Remove contaminants generated during operation, avoid the system with strict wear tolerance, longer system life, greater reliability and improved machine productivity.

Provide excellent protection for expensive components of the transmission, also machine system protection

Minimize cold start bypass while maintaining appropriate cleanliness levels

Keep transmissions and equipment operating at peak performance.

The best preventive maintenance there is for hardworking equipment in the construction and mining industy.

Types

The hydraulic transmission filters, also known as transmission filter, is a high-pressure hydraulic oil filter. According to the structure, it can be divided into hydraulic filter cartridge and spin-on hydraulic filters.

Cartridge filter, which also need to be put in one assembly for using. But it is high pressure. These units have removable bowls with which filter cartridges are inserted. When a filter element becomes clogged, the bowl is screwed off, the cartridge removed and replaced, and then the bowl is screwed back on again. This design is more ecologically friendly, as it requires no bulky steel outer shell, is simpler to manufacture, and once used, cartridge elements are easier to drain of residual waste oil.

Spin-on filters, have an integrated filter element. Screw the canister onto a filter head and replace it when the filter is full to maintain correct flow and continue to remove particles. When the hydraulic transmission replacement filter becomes dirty or clogged, the canister is removed and a new canister is installed. They are usually low-pressure and high pressure housings reference to the equipment requirements, The canister will be more thicker when it is in high pressure. Their purpose is to collect the dirt from around the circuit as the oil returns to the reservoir. Applications include general processing and industrial, mobile, and power transmission applications. Can use cellulose media and Synthetic media for different quality requirments.

Our Features

Filter papers have high burst strength & can resist high fluctuations in flow of oil.

Hydraulic filter has 10 microns, transmission filter has 15 microns oil filteration capacity.

Filter paper threads do not come out to clog the system. Ensures long life of hydraulic pump & valve block.

Only clean hydraulic & transmission oil goes in to the system.

No contamination of hydraulic oil due to adhesive particles. Ram & cylinder walls protected from scratches.

We offer a full line of cartridge-style replacement filters available

Media

We have two media inside, Synthetic glass fiber filter media and synthetic filter paper. Synthetic glass fiber is double fiber reinforced. This keeps the medium in place under high pressure fluctuations in the hydraulic system. Moving the media back and forth will reduce the filtering efficiency. It is also a high level of filtration performance and to reduce pressure drop across the media.

The inner tube and outer packing of hydraulic transmission filters are not spot welded together, but folded and curled along the whole seam by machine, so the strength is higher. Moreover, the external package is made of large-scale profiles to assist the media to keep in place under the change of oil pressure.

Hydraulic transmission filters are need to combine the suction strainer and return line filters in the hydraulic system. After filtering the contaminants which are bigger than 50 microns, the hycraulic transmission can work for better performance and longer time.

FAQ

Each engine and automatic transmission is equipped with a standard or full flow filter, which can remove large particles that may cause direct damage to the vehicle system. However, since sufficient fluid flow through the filter must be maintained, the filter element must be permeable to filter particles of not less than 10 to 15 microns.

Most contaminants are less than 10 microns, and they easily pass through standard filters. Micro filtration is necessary to filter out 5-10% of the fluid flow, so as to avoid any additional filtration caused by backpressure directly entering the oil circuit.

Micro filtration allows for higher fluid cleanliness of any lubricating or power transmission oil system, including automatic transmission oil (ATF), CVT, dual clutch system, engine oil and hydraulic oil. In general, microfiltration can reduce failures, reduce downtime, reduce waste oil, and extend equipment life.

It is necessary to change both transmission oil and filter because no matter what the filter makes the fluid look good. It “filters” the metal shavings and dirt and such from the fluid. Many of micron particles can’t see in eyes. Or when you only change one, the other one is half dirty, the new filter’s performance will be affaced by the old one.
